Merriment and Mermaids

Scattered over the grounds at several spots were the Minstrels, playing songs that were not familiar to me, but had catchy little rhythms and rhymes that added to the flavor of the Fair!

Impromptu dances and reels were common when the music was heard.

And now we have the Mermaids! Only thing I could figure out was, they were part of the Folklore of the Sea Captains and Sailors of that time. Friendly and cute, they added to the Merriment of the onlookers!

Medieval Faces

  1. YOu mean you don't remember the songs?? LOL Sorry, I couldn't help myslef, you left yourself wide open for that one!

Mermaids at a renaissance fair, that's a new one on me.

Very nice photos. You sure are getting a lot of color from the fair!

  2. These are great. Can't miss that pink umbrella.

  3. Nothing like a cute Mermaid or two to liven up Medieval Merriment!

Looks like you had an abundance of photo opportunities, what a great find!

  4. This looks like fun and a colorful festival. Gotta love mermaids! Happy Friday the 13th. =)
