Fat man, I mean, Photographer at work

More shots from our trip to Hana. This one was taken by my wife with a Nikon Coolpix S8100 point and shoot when I wasn't looking.

This is the view as I saw it through the camera lens.

This was a little spot we found that was just for sitting and contemplating the world, or forgetting about the world and just relaxing. I chose the latter! LOL

  3. Finally get to see you with your camera backpack in action!

Beautiful pond, the lighting in this picture is perfect... You must have done some post processing with this one.

  5. Paul, I did a lot of post processing on this one. Half of the pond was in shade and the other half was super bright with the sun. I thought it looked a little over done myself but it was the best I could do with what I had.

As far as the backpack goes, that's my old backpack and not the new one. The new one is too big to be considered a carry on so I had to revert back to the old one to get my cameras on a plane.

  8. LOL, I guess, but it's not difficult to get caught up in the beauty of the islands. Hubby and I really prefer taking the path least taken...as it appears you and the Mrs. do as well!!
Did you hike up to the bamboo forest near the seven sacred pools??? it's fabulous!!

  9. These are nice pictures, not your legs. LOL.

Now you start look like a traveler not a tourist with that big backpack.

  10. Val, We didn't make it on the walk to the 7 Sacred Pools this trip. When we got to that spot in the road the area was packed with people and cars and we couldn't find a safe place to park. We'll try to get there the next trip. I could spend a couple of days on the road to Hana seeing the different things and taking photos.
