It's very easy to do, I have learned this from a friend. In this particular shot, you will need a wide angle lens or ultra wide angle lens 14mm to 35mm. As you can see I have started the line on the bottom right of the frame, then zoom in or out to compose the end of the line to the center of the frame or to the left of frame. Put your focus point on the rail to the nearest from the camera, dail your f stop to f/16.
When I shoot something like this, I normally set my camera just a few inches from my object. Oh by the way, for the best result, mount your camera on the tripod. Good Luck!
The guardrail fencing leads my eyes into the background as well as the narrow road. A wonderful lane for a road trip!
ReplyDeleteI like this one a lot! I agree with parking, the guard rail just leads you, winding into the photo. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot. I agree with Parker about the line.
ReplyDeleteA perfect example of leading lines!
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is why my leading line pictures never come out as good as yours... LOL
This would make a great tourism poster for why a tourist should explore a State Highway System...
