Normally I wouldn't be comfortable taking pictures of these fellows without asking first, but the moment you get yourself in a parade that all changes. At least that's the way I see it anyway... LOL
These fellows sure have some fine looking machines!
Biggggg boys on custom choppers! Nice work.
ReplyDeleteLots of money driving down the street there!
ReplyDeleteYou got several really good night time shots Paul. What lens were you using with these? They are all nice and sharp and I know you weren't using a tripod. LOL
And more nice flash work! Looks like a good way to get around the Island. Like the custom paint on the middle bike!
ReplyDeleteawesome!!!
ReplyDeleteJust perfect for flash speed of 1/250.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for all the encouraging comments!
ReplyDeleteRon I was using my trusty old Nikon 18-135 (non VR) for these pictures. One of these days I hope to upgrade to a Nikon 18-200 VRII or Similar Sigma or Tamron. BTW you still using your Tamron 18-250 and you still happy with it?
Paul, yes, I am still using the Tamron 18-250 and I love it. 90% of what I shoot is with that lens and I get really nice photos with it. I've never had any problems with it and it works great. As an all-around lens I would highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteI think they make a stabilized version of it now and the new version reaches out to 275mm. It's a little more expensive for the stabilized version though. I think I paid right around $600 for the one I have and I don't go anywhere without it. It stays on my camera all of the time.
I do want to take some pointers from Q though and invest in some 2.8 lenses. I know some of the night time shots would be better with a 2.8 lens but even then, if I'm grabbing my camera and going light for non night time shots, the Tamron is the lens I will use.
I have a Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 for sale. I hate to let go on this lens, but I could not justify to keep 70-200mm f/2.8 and this lens.
ReplyDeleteVery tempting Q! If I start collecting f2.8 glass I think an 18-70ish lens would be my first purchase. Though just out of curiosity what how much would you part with that lens for?
ReplyDeleteMore than anything I am looking to upgrade my most used lens to one with VR, OS or whatever depending on manufacturer
Cool bikes!
