It's cold outside

I thought I was going to have to put on my fur coat this morning, it was down to 46 last night!

I took this photo last February at the wildlife refuge. This was in my front yard and I was using one of Q's old tricks, throw them food! The deer in the far back is getting ready to woop up on somebody to get her share.

  1. What a difference a few months in the weather makes. I was ready for this cool down but in no hurry to see the white stuff blowing around.

Comical to watch those doe lower their ears and stand on their hind legs flailing their front hooves and legs at a culprit.

Speaking of the refuge, saw this morning where they finally got control of the Meers fire. Rain is badly needed! So much of the refuge is closed to hiking right now. Would be terrible not to have an enjoyable fall visiting the Mtns!

Good shot of those cranky old gals!

  2. It definitely needs to rain, a lot, and cool down. Hopefully that will all happen in the next 3 weeks!

  5. 46, I can't even begin to imagine! We're 108 in the day and in the 90s at night - yuck! Lovely photo.

  6. That's funny my cat does that with her ears just before she beats the tar out of the dog! LOL

Careful what you wish for... I wonder if someone on the East Coast was wishing for rain and cooler weather, now see what's happening!

Bus seriously we could all use some rain, then we could get back to summer for a couple more months...
