Testing on 200-400mm lens.

 Man of the house.

I'm wondering what time the Zoo going to close today?

Do you have better thing to do?

These are from the Fort Worth Zoo today.  The only different from these pictures to the last post, is that I change the color mode to Vivid, and the focus system to 3D tracking.

  1. Wow! The detail in these photos is fantastic!! Are these shot at f4?

I have a request, when you do some shooting with the 80-200mm can you take a few photos with a flash? I am thinking about buying one of those for my Hawaii trip and I am thinking about using it during a luau so I want to shoot as fast as possible and with a flash. I'll also be using it for whale shots.

If you have any better suggestions I am defintiely open to them as long as the equipment doesn't cost me an arm and a leg!! LOL

    Good subject matter.

  3. Ron, these are at f/5.6. Sometime this week, I will test the 80-200mm on my DX format camera for you.

  4. Yes very nice and crisp. Nice bokeh (background blur) with this lens just the right amount on the two bottom pics.

I use the "Vivid" setting for 90% of my pictures but haven't played with the 3D tracking, in fact the D90 might not even have that feature... I'll have to look into this.

Look forward to seeing your test drive of the 80-200 f2.8!
