STANDING TALL

Reaching high into the blue skies of Oklahoma City is The Devon Tower!  The new home to the Devon Energy Corp. A fine neighbor to OKC and the State.

850ft. and 50 floors makes this the tallest in the state. Scheduled to be completed at the end of this year, it is an impressive site towering over the downtown area. Twenty some miles to the west in my hometown of Yukon, when driving over the I-40 bridge looking east, this new Giant on the Plains is quite a sight!

  2. That is amazing! I hope you'll show it to us again when it's completed.

  3. Nothing subtile about this building, in fact it seems to tower over everything and i'll bet the view from the top will be magnificant!

It would seem that the Devon Energy Corp. is doing well for its self...

  5. I love buildings when they are under construction-always amazes me how they can make such huge structures.

  6. I'm loving your tour of the city. It's bringing back some great memories. You didn't happen to get a shot of the anchor that is downtown did you?

  7. Ron, I vaguely remember that anchor but can't recall where it was. Lots of changes have been made in the downtown area since you lived here. If you remember where it was I'll try to get a pic of it.
