Purple Iris

Took a few pictures of the Purple Iris's growing around the little fish pond in the front yard. The weather was overcast and there was light misty rain falling on and off all morning. For whatever reason the light was such that the purple really showed up.

  2. Truth be known I had to desaturate the greens and darken the blues some in Photoshop before posting these two pictures! Like I said the lighting made all the colors very vivid for whatever reason, sometimes it just gets like that around here...

  3. Hi Paul. Thanks for your comment on my railroad track photo post. That is really great to know that you too have walked portions of those same tracks! It is so peaceful out there. I'm loving it. Where are you now? By the way, I really love the color in your iris shots and I love your doggie!

  4. Hi Levonne. After living in Parksville I moved to a small town near Port Hardy on the wet end of the Island! I was only going to stay and work for a few months then move back down Island... That was 27 years ago, funny how life happens... LOL

  7. The colors and detail in these are great. I think the bottom photo is my favorite with the way it shows the markings on the open and closed flowers.
