Buffalo in Action

Tails High!

These two guys popped from the gate on high alert! Holding their tails high was the signal they were ready to charge and attack!

Your In My Sights!

Ron and I were sure glad for that iron pipe fence we were standing behind! These boys had dropped their tails and were charging straight as an arrow for us!

Raising Dust!

Digging their hooves into the ground as they run, sure stirred up the grass and dirt!

Turning On A Dime!

Able to stop and turn on a dime while giving you nine cents change was no problem for these two. Guess they just did not want to tangle with the photographers!

Strapping Youngsters

These American Bison are growing up to make fine looking specimens of their kind!

Guess what?

More buffalo pics for next post.

  1. Yea, that's it, they didn't want to mess with two old guys carrying cameras. We looked too mean! LOL

You got some great color and detail in these shots, even though they were charging right at you. You seem to get pretty good photos when animals are charging at you. Maybe you can start a new extreme sport. LOL

    1. AH! What a day it was. We ain't skeered uh no buffers! Sounds like a rocking chair story to tell the g-kids when we get to old to go anymore!LOL

New sport huh! Timed myself running 30ft. (30 seconds)! Timed those buffalo running 30ft.(2.5 seconds)! Guess who the big loser would be in that deal? And there I was dreaming about Running with the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain this year??? Got dashed out of that idea in a hurry! LOL

    1. I suppose I'm just standing where they want to go! One of these days I won't have that camera with me then all those horned critters can have the right of way!LOL

In all seriousness; Never would I taunt or intentionally put myself in harms way of an animal or reptile. One must never crowd them or make them feel in danger. Stay your distance and give them the respect of the wild animals they are!
