Moonrise

This is why you always want to keep a camera on hand! Took this on my way back from Port Hardy tonight.
Other than the frame I put around it, this picture is entirely as shot. I used the Sigma 120-400 at 400mm. In hind sight I regret that I didn't set the ISO to 200 as oposed to auto mode I normally keep it in which alows it to go up to ISO 1600 for darker situations... Oh well live and learn!

  1. Lucky for us that you followed your own advice and had your camera ready!

Composition was perfect. Lots of interesting subjects in this frame. Moon is almost surreal.

  2. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great shot! It has everyting in it that you would want. The lighting is great, everything is in focus, Q will be proud.

I think I would be sending that one off to have made into a large print and frame it for the house. I think I would also enter it in some of the photo magazine contests.

    Great shooting!!

  3. Well, all I have to say is "Awesome Picture." This is a well balance picture, which is the object in the foreground where it should be, and the object in the background is very interesting. Also, this shot is for every pro's love to have on their collections. Well Done Paul.
