Big black dog?

Found this big fellow wandering down from the lake where our water supply comes from so I shot him... with the Sigma 120 400 hand held, manual focus at 400mm.

No I still haven't sent the ugly lens back for repairs, I'm giving it one more chance this weekend to behave and if not then it's off to the other side of Canada for repairs.

  1. Nice focus on the black bear. Trees lining the road made a nice frame. That bear sure looks fat and sleek. Must be a good food supply this year or plenty of photographers on its road to munch on.LOL

  2. I agree with Parker, nice job on the focus. I remember, way back when, when all I did was use manual focus. Are we getting lazy in our old age? LOL

This is a nice shot. I like the way the road just leads you right up to the bear. It makes you think you need to be giving him the right of way, or running in the opposite direction screaming like a little girl!

  3. Nice! I like the composition of your main object. The distance of the dirt road is equal balance between your main object. This is one of the rule in the line of focus.
