Sunrise on Poipu, Kauai

This place is a most favorite spot on Kauai from my wife. Everyday, after her morning walks, she sat here watching the surfs crashing against the rocks. It's hard to see the scale of the surfs in these pictures, but what I can see the water could shoot up about 50' on the average. This is one of the main reason she wants to go back Kauai every year. For me, I like to go back for more pictures, and the fresh air while enjoying my Mai Tai. Anyone here want to join me in June 2012 or possible next March?

Have a nice weekend everyone.

  1. I can sure understand why this would be a favorite spot for your wife. Just by looking at these photos I can almost hear the crashing of the waves and smell the salty mist of the seawater as it settles around where I'm sitting. Every once in awhile I get to see pics that seem to make me feel a part of the scene. These draw me in! I will let others comment on the processing, it would do no good for me to try.

Q, I wish I could say that joining you would be possible. I would have you take my pic in this very spot and would have a Mai Tai with two umbrellas with you to celebrate my Good Fortune!!

  3. Wow! These are really great shots! I really like the top one. I think because it was shot horizontally and you just get a better idea that your on an island.

The lighting is perfect. The early morning light just gives it a different look.

I would love to go with you next year but if Cheryl and I go in January I don't think I can afford to go again in just a couple of months.

That reminds me, I need to get a lottery ticket! LOL
